Totalsports Challenge   Saturday 9 January 2010

The Totalsports Challenge presented by New Balance and Powerade is one of the most challenging participative events on the South African sporting calendar.

It consists of seven events, and competitors can enter as individuals or as teams. Teams can consist of seven, three or two members. The Totalsports Challenge begins with a 12km surfski in Gordon's Bay and a 1.5km swim, followed by a 50km road cycle to Kleinmond, a 13km road run to the Arabella Westin Grand Cape Hotel & Spa, a 13km K1 canoe paddle on the Bot Rivier lagoon, a 25km mountain bike leg back to Kleinmond, and a 9km beach run on the Kleinmond Blue Flag Beach to finish.

For those who prefer to keep their feet dry, there's the Terra Firma event which excludes the water stages i.e. a 50km road cycle, followed by the 13km road run, a 25km mountain bike leg and then the 9km beach run.

All entrants receive goodie bags containing sponsors' gifts, as well as a Totalsports moisture management garment. Both events start in Gordon's Bay and take place on Saturday 9 January 2010.

Go to www.totalsports.co.za for more event details and entry forms.
